Our webinars are approved for continuing education credit, or meet the state board requirements for continuing education credit for NASBA.  Please check with your State Board which has final authority on the approval of courses for CPE credit. Continuing Professional Education Credit: To receive CPE credit for the event, you must register for the webcast prior to the start of each program and login no later than the scheduled start time for the event. You must also answer the polling questions that will be asked throughout the presentation.

CPAacademy.org may substitute presenters in the event of an illness or emergency.  In the event that a webinar must be cancelled, all registration fees (if applicable) will be refunded in full, without exception.  

Multiple Attendees:
 Proctoring: In order for multiple attendees to receive credit for the course, someone (a partner or other CPA) must act as a proctor and sign off on their fulfillment of the course. Instructors for the proctor letter will be provided upon registration.

If there are techical failures with the webinar, CPE will be issued appropriately, as allowed by NASBA. If possible, webinars will be rescheduled to allow for full credit.

If you are unable to attend a webcast, you may cancel up to three days before the event and receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than three days prior will be refunded the course fee, less a $25 administrative fee. No shows (or cancellations made after the start of the program) will forfeit the entire registration fee. 

CPAacademy.org offers a satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with any live webcast program you have purchased, provided you have not earned CPE credit from that webcast or product, please send your refund request to: scott.zarret@cpawebengage.com. CPAwebengage, Inc. (“CPAwebengage” or “we“), the owner of CPAwebengage.com and CPAacademy.org (collectively, the “Website” or “Site“), respects the privacy of users on the Internet and has developed this privacy statement to protect user privacy on its Website. The purpose of this statement is to explain the types of information CPAwebengage obtains about users of this Website, how the information is obtained, how it is used, how it may be disclosed to others, and how users can restrict its use or disclosure.

Personally Identifiable Information:
The only personally identifiable information CPAwebengage obtains about individual users through our Website is information supplied voluntarily by the user. Users interacting with our Site may provide CPAwebengage with their name, address, telephone number, email address, domain name or URL or other personally identifiable information that CPAwebengage may use for its own business purposes.  In order to login and fully access all the features of the Site, the user must provide this information.

Using the Information: 
CPAwebengage does not sell, rent, or lease its customer information to unrelated third parties. We may occasionally share registration data with a trusted partner who has served as content provider for a webcast.  CPAwebengage is not responsible for any actions such third parties may take with respect to such registration data. All information related to financial transactions (such as cardholder account numbers) is never shared with third parties.  Generally, we may use your personally identifiable information (name, postal address, email address, company name) in the following ways:

  1. To communicate with you about your account or the Site.
  2. To support the operation of the Site (i.e., billing, account maintenance) and troubleshoot.
  3. To send you newsletters, promotional messages, product announcements or other communications that we feel may be of interest to you, although you may opt out of receiving these communications (see “Opting Out” below).
  4. In other ways that you either expressly consent to or instruct us to undertake.

Opting In:
CPAacademy employs an opt-in policy to ensure, by email, that subscribers intended to join our mailing list. When subscribers join our mailing list through the subscription link on the Site, an email message is sent that contains a confirmation link.

Opting Out:
As part of the registration process, you will supply us with your postal address, phone number, and email address, and you will be registered to receive periodic communications from CPAwebengage or from other reputable companies affiliated with CPAwebengage. If you do not wish to receive such communications from CPAwebengage, you can:

  1. Opt out of receiving future emailed messages by following the “unsubscribe” instructions at the bottom of any emailed message you receive from CPAwebengage.
  2. Opt out of receiving future emailed messages or newsletters from CPAwebengage by changing your preferences on the Site.

Please allow 30 days for your opt-out election to take effect. For example, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. You cannot opt-out of receiving these communications.

We use cookies to record session information only, such as items that consumers add to their shopping cart.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information:
CPAwebengage does collect and use some non-personally identifiable, generic information about our users as a means of measuring the effectiveness of our Website.  CPAwebengage servers identify certain user information in the normal course of operation, but such information does not reveal a user’s personal identity.  We collect this information only in the aggregate and use it to evaluate and improve our Website and to provide targeted information that may be of interest to users of our Website. The following are examples of non-personally identifiable generic information.

We collect only the domain name–not the e-mail address–of visitors to our Website, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, and only aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Website.

Disclosure Pursuant to Legal Process:
CPAwebengage shall, pursuant to applicable law, regulation or legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order, allow access to all available and relevant information in order to comply with such process and protect CPAwebengage’s rights and property.  CPAwebengage may also allow access to this information in special emergencies where physical safety is at risk.
